A Safe Place is a unique organization in Lake County, IL, dedicated to providing exclusive services for domestic violence and human trafficking victims. Our mission is to offer a safe haven and support to those in need. With a wide range of programs and services, we aim to transform lives and empower individuals to rebuild and thrive.

Our comprehensive programs include crisis response services, housing, court advocacy, counseling, and mentoring. We also operate a Family Visitation Center and offer outreach training to raise awareness about domestic violence. Through our efforts, we have touched and impacted the lives of over 32,000 adults and children.

We have provided safe housing for over 49,000 nights and emergency shelter for over 13,000 nights. Additionally, we have assisted in filing over 1,600 orders of protection and answered over 3,000 calls on our crisis line. At A Safe Place, we believe in providing a compassionate environment where individuals can find comfort, care, and empowerment.
