## Description

ASAGIR, the Argentine Sunflower Association, is a nonprofit civil association dedicated to promoting and developing sunflower, its derivatives, and related by-products in Argentina. It brings together information and resources for people interested in the sunflower value chain, covering the crop’s history, cultivation, uses, economic importance, and commercialization.

The association supports agricultural knowledge and decision-making through technical resources, including crop-management guidance, direct-sowing information, research projects, and the INTA-ASAGIR sunflower trial network. Its HelioSelector tool helps users explore cultivar evaluations and compare sunflower hybrids using historical trial data, including information on stability and adaptability.

ASAGIR also shares research and industry updates through news, economic reports, newsletters, and publications on topics such as crop diseases, growing environments, grain quality, and sunflower oil. Its community activities include congresses, scientific workshops, media resources, and an events agenda. Based in Buenos Aires, ASAGIR provides information in Spanish and English and participates in the Argentine Carbon Neutral Program.
