## Description

Budovereniging Asahi is a martial arts association serving the Assen and Smilde communities in the Netherlands. The club aims to make practising budo enjoyable and accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or ability, while encouraging mutual respect, discipline and positive social interaction. Its activities include judo and jiu jitsu, with dedicated youth jiu jitsu classes and jiu jitsu competition opportunities. Judo competition training is also offered, alongside regular classes for members. Asahi provides practical information about training times and locations, membership, trial lessons and club rules, helping newcomers and current members take part in the club’s activities. Beyond training, the association organises events and activities for its members, including camps, and shares news and competition information. It also supports participation in fundraising initiatives to help provide equipment for club activities. With a welcoming approach and a focus on both martial arts practice and community, Asahi offers members opportunities to learn, train and enjoy budo at their own pace. The club is based in Assen and also serves Smilde.
