## Description

Associação Sobralense de Apoio a Idosos (ASAI) is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity based in Sobral da Adiça, in the municipality of Moura, Portugal. Its work focuses on supporting older people through residential care, home assistance and other social support. ASAI began operating in March 2000, initially providing a Home Support Service (SAD) under a cooperation agreement with the Beja District Social Security Centre. Its stated SAD capacity is 60 people; the cooperation agreement was later revised to cover 44. In August 2003, ASAI established a cooperation agreement for its Residential Structure for Older People (ERPI), initially serving 10 residents and reserving three places for urgent referrals indicated by the district centre. Residential care operates around the clock throughout the year. Home assistance is provided daily during morning and evening service periods. The organisation also makes institutional documents and administrative contact information available to the public. Through these services, ASAI supports older people in its local community.
