About
Description
After-School All-Stars Hawaii (ASAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life. Since 2009, ASAS has been serving over 2,300 middle school students in the islands every year, partnering with the Hawaii Department of Education and other community organizations. ASAS Hawaii leverages community resources to address the major issues students face today and provides practical solutions for working families in under-resourced communities.
Their programs offer a safe and supportive environment during the crucial hours between 3 pm and 6 pm, when youth violence, drug use, and other delinquent behaviors are most likely to occur. The mission of ASAS is to identify and fuel the individual passions of their students by providing tailored academic support, enrichment activities, and sports. By creating lasting relationships with their students and incorporating service learning, ASAS equips their All-Stars with the confidence and skills to become productive members of their community.
ASAS Hawaii is committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion. They honor and celebrate the diversity of lived experiences and identities, while actively working to dismantle structural racism and systemic injustices. Their goal is to build inclusive and intentional programs and policies in pursuit of a more equitable world.
To stay connected and receive the latest highlights and news from After-School All-Stars Hawaii, you can subscribe to their monthly newsletter.
