## Description

Ascend NTNW is a Norwegian University of Science and Technology's aerial robotics team, specializing in autonomous aerial robotics for learning. We aim to develop innovative solutions for world-class competitions in drone cybernetics. Our team comprises motivated students from various technical fields, including autonomy and AI, cybernetics, computer vision, machine learning, software engineering, mechanical engineering, and electronics design. Since our founding in 2015, Ascend NTNW has achieved remarkable success. We earned 3rd place at the International Aerial Robotics Competition (IARC) in 2016 and achieved 3rd place for IARC Mission 7 in 2017 and 2018. We also won the prize for the Most Innovative Drone twice in a row during that time. In 2019, at IARC Mission 8, we won awards for Best Technical Demonstration and Best System Design, and we secured 1st place overall in the American Venue. Our flat and open organizational structure allows every member's voices to be heard, fostering a collaborative environment. With a belief in learning by doing, we embrace trial and failure, always open to new concepts and technologies. The team enjoys 24/7 access to our independent office space, fully equipped with workstations, hardware facilities, and a shared kitchen. We collaborate closely with our sponsors, the Institute of Technical Cybernetics (ITK), and the Department of Computer Science (IDI) at NTNU, enabling access to labs, equipment, and expertise. Join Ascend NTNW as we continue to ascend higher, preparing for upcoming competitions such as the IARC Mission 9, the TAC Challenge 2023, and the SUAS competition. Together, we transform theories into first-hand experience, pushing the boundaries of drone technology.
