Founded in 2003 by local residents, it was created to address the lack of social support for older people in the parish. Its mission is to prevent loneliness and isolation, encourage older adults to participate in local social life, strengthen personal and intergenerational relationships, and help people remain in their communities for as long as possible. ASCU’s main service is its Centre for Older Adults, which welcomes around 20 people each day. The association provides transport for users between their homes and the centre, along with a daily snack and a hot drink. Its annual programme includes social gatherings, activities with other institutions, traditional celebrations, an annual outing, and events marking the association’s anniversary, São João, Grandparents’ Day, São Martinho, and Christmas. These activities support connection, inclusion, and shared experiences. ASCU also publishes institutional documents, including annual activity and financial reports, and welcomes enquiries from people seeking support or wishing to contribute to its mission. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Geriatric and Aging Care _(under Health)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idrAMQcrBW/w/312/h/248/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790801965855) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Blue Violet | #5b60b2 | accent | | Cinder | #06060c | dark | | Cornflower Blue | #7774f3 | light | ## Fonts - var(--font-sans) — asset _(custom)_ - var(--font-sans) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
