The Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship, located at the American University of Beirut, is a regional hub that aims to support and empower civil society in the Arab region. Established in 2012 with a generous donation from the Asfari Foundation, the Institute plays a vital role in amplifying knowledge production and dissemination, creating safe spaces for convening and collaboration, and redefining the meaning of inclusive citizenship.
