## Description

A.S.ha Pisa APS is a social promotion association founded in 1981 by a group of friends, most of whom had disabilities. Based in Pontedera, it supports people with disabilities and others facing reduced independence, with a focus on inclusion, mobility, sport, and community participation. Its Taxi Amico service provides social transport for eligible residents of Valdera who have significant disabilities affecting mobility or sensory or mental functioning. The association also offers Orto Amico, a social agriculture project where older people, people with disabilities, and families experiencing temporary financial hardship can cultivate a small plot of land. At the Centro Poliedro, members can take part in adapted physical activities, including volleyball, basketball, and indoor football, as well as table tennis. A.S.ha Pisa also promotes disability awareness, organizes sporting and community events, and works with local organizations. Its sporting roots remain visible in activities such as bocce, including a team of athletes registered with Fisdir. The association welcomes support through donations and Italy’s 5x1000 tax allocation.
