Asian Health Equity is a leading organization dedicated to eliminating health disparities among Asian, Pacific Islander, African, and other communities of color. Over the past two decades, they have worked tirelessly to develop and implement culturally and linguistically appropriate health programs and initiatives. Their priority areas include Health Prevention and Education, Cultural Competency, Capacity Building and Sustainability, and Translational Research.

Through robust community-based partnerships with over 25 ethnic organizations, they have been able to broaden the reach and impact of their programs. In 2015, Asian Health Equity joined forces with the University of Chicago to establish the Center for Asian Health Equity (CAHE), further amplifying their work. Some of their key achievements include conducting the first health needs assessment in Chinatown and other communities, educating and enrolling individuals for health coverage, developing evidence-based chronic disease management programs, conducting screenings for hepatitis B and cardiovascular diseases, and connecting limited English proficient populations to community health providers.
