## Description

Asity Madagascar, also known as the Malagasy League for the Protection of Birds, is a conservation organisation dedicated to protecting biodiversity and supporting sustainable development in Madagascar. It is the country’s official partner of BirdLife International, reflecting its focus on ornithology, scientific credibility and practical conservation work. The organisation manages four important protected areas and works with local communities in areas where people continue to live and use natural resources. Its activities bring together three main priorities: conserving protected areas and ecosystems, supporting community development, and raising environmental awareness. Through communication and education, Asity Madagascar encourages long-term changes in how communities and future resource users interact with nature. Its initiatives include promoting sustainable agricultural techniques, sharing conservation knowledge and engaging local residents in efforts to protect species and habitats. The organisation also publishes news and scientific material, and offers a multimedia collection featuring bird sounds, photographs and reports from its work.
