## Description

The American Saddlebred International Youth Program (ASIYP) offers engaging horse education for young people of all ages and welcomes enthusiasts of any horse breed. Its activities help participants build equine knowledge, develop research skills, and learn about horse care, safety, and history while encouraging active involvement in the horse world.

ASIYP features 20 achievement badges and three educational levels, called Equus Ed Levels I, II, and III. Participants choose a badge, complete its requirements online or as part of a group, and receive an embroidered badge by mail. Each educational level includes a workbook to guide learning, with additional research sometimes drawing on sources such as the internet or a library.

The program is designed for individuals learning at home as well as youth groups, riding instructors, parents, and horse shows seeking activities for young participants. Custom options are available for stable youth groups and horse-show settings, and the Novice badges are suited to group participation.
