## Description

Associació de Sant Jordi is the public-benefit organization responsible for organizing Alcoy’s famous Moors and Christians festival in Alicante, Spain. Held each April in honor of Saint George, the celebration brings the city together through history, devotion, music, and festive events. It is recognized as an International Tourist Interest event and an Intangible Cultural Heritage asset of Valencian Community.

The association coordinates the festival’s programme and participating groups, known as filaes, and shares practical information about events, seating, tickets, and applications. Its website also offers news, details about festival traditions and music, and information about Saint George and his church. Visitors can explore the Museu Alcoià de la Festa (MAF), dedicated to the festival, with published opening hours and admission prices. The association supports cultural activities including music competitions, concerts, exhibitions, and publications about the celebration. Through its events, museum, and public resources, Associació de Sant Jordi helps preserve and present Alcoy’s distinctive festival heritage to residents and visitors alike.
