## Description

ASKKSA offers Shotokan Karate training in Funchal, Madeira, for children, teenagers and adults. Teaching since 2000, the dojo combines respect for tradition with technical rigour, personal guidance and discipline, adapting classes to each student’s age and experience. Its approach emphasizes respectful training and supporting students as they progress at their own pace.

Classes are led by graded instructors with coaching certifications from the Portuguese National Karate Federation. The main dojo is at Horácio Bento de Gouveia School in Funchal, with additional training locations at the Santo António Parish Council dojo and, with technical support, the Sports Pavilion of Câmara de Lobos. At the main dojo, weekday sessions run from 19:30 to 20:30 for children under 12 and from 20:30 to 21:30 for students aged 12 and over.

Prospective students can visit, meet the instructors and try their first three classes free. ASKKSA provides its training schedule and location details online and can be contacted by phone or email for further information.
