## Description

Aslak Hellevik is an independent statistician and consultant based in Oslo, working at the intersection of statistics, modelling, applied AI, and philosophy. He describes himself as a statistician in practice and a philosopher at heart, with a focus on exploring how we understand the world and represent it through models. Hellevik works part-time at Statistics Norway on microsimulation related to Norwegian tax and family policy, and at Ebber on psychometrics. His consulting services include statistics and modelling, practical applications of AI, and philosophical conversation. He aims to connect real-world questions with mathematical and computational tools, helping turn complex ideas into useful models and code. His projects include building agents and other tools, while his website also features writing and updates on work in progress. Hellevik is exploring future directions for his practice and invites people with relevant interests to get in touch. Through his mix of analytical work, consulting, and experimental projects, he offers a thoughtful, hands-on approach to understanding and solving problems.
