## Description

BABU is a dedicated animal welfare organization based in Spain, focused on reducing the suffering of dogs and cats through a compassionate and sustainable approach. Our mission centers around prevention, emphasizing humane population control, safe care, recovery, and adopting animals into loving homes. We believe that addressing the root causes of abandonment is essential, advocating for sterilization and education as fundamental components of our strategy.

In 2024, Spanish shelters faced the challenge of taking in over 292,000 animals, highlighting the urgent need for proactive measures. BABU works collaboratively with municipalities and stakeholders to ensure that animal welfare becomes an integral part of daily life in Spain. We communicate transparently and respectfully, valuing the dignity of every animal and the people who support our mission. By combining rescue efforts with educational initiatives, we aim to foster a future where fewer animals suffer and more pets find permanent, safe homes. Join us in our journey to create lasting change in animal welfare.
