## Description

ASPAFES is the Association of Parents of People with Intellectual Disabilities connected to the centers of Fundación Gil Gayarre. Founded in 1980, the organization works to improve quality of life and defend the rights of people with intellectual disabilities who are dependent on support, while also assisting their families. Its approach emphasizes inclusion, personal development, empowerment, and ongoing support, with services adapted to individual needs.

ASPAFES offers specialized training and a varied program of inclusive activities. These include sports, recreational and cultural programs, theatre and body expression, health and preventive medicine initiatives, and holiday activities. The association also provides respite support, assistance, and useful resources for families. Through its programs, it aims to encourage social integration, well-being, communication, and participation in community life.

Families and supporters can get involved by becoming members, volunteering, participating in activities, or making donations.
