ASPA National is a prominent brand dedicated to advancing excellence in public service. They offer a range of products and services designed to promote effective governance and enhance the field of public administration. The brand is well-known for its National Council Elections, held every three years. In the upcoming 2023 election, six individuals, including five district representatives and one student representative, will be elected to ASPA leadership positions. These elected individuals will serve on the National Council, the governing body of ASPA. The council plays a crucial role in setting ASPA's overall direction and policy, ensuring its financial stability, and establishing and overseeing various committees and bodies. ASPA values diversity and inclusion, seeking nominees who represent various professional interests and groups and who reflect a range of important forms of diversity. All nominations for the 2023 election must be submitted by September 1, 2023. ASPA's District Representatives serve three-year terms and are responsible for actively supporting ASPA's goals, engaging in policy deliberations, representing ASPA's objectives to the public, and facilitating the work of chapters and sections. ASPA also has a Student Representative position, with a one-year term, open to ASPA members in the student or new professional membership category. ASPA is looking for candidates with a strategic understanding of public administration and a commitment to building a positive organizational culture, participating in development activities, and demonstrating a duty of care, loyalty, and obedience.
