## Description

Aspas Labs is an independent AI research lab based in Brazil, focused on developing models and the infrastructure needed to train, run and evaluate them. Its work spans model architecture, training, inference, evaluation and AI agents, with an emphasis on practical research questions: how small a model can be while remaining useful, whether better training can improve performance without adding parameters, and when a specialized model may be more effective than a general-purpose language model.

The lab conducts its own training runs and benchmarks, using the results to guide further development. Goldenfish is its current focus for model research. The project includes Goldenfish G1, a model centered on structured decision-making that is currently being trained. On the infrastructure side, Aspas Labs is developing Intelligence Network, an experimental peer-to-peer system intended to connect compute, models and data across machines.

Aspas Labs also shares updates and research through its blog and provides documentation and contact channels for inquiries about research, collaboration and hiring. The lab describes its work as made in Brazil.
