## Description

The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) is an independent, non-partisan think tank focused on defence, security and strategic affairs in Australia and the Indo-Pacific. It provides timely analysis and advice to Australian and international leaders, aiming to inform public debate, develop policy ideas and nurture the next generation of security professionals. ASPI’s research and programs cover a broad range of issues, including defence strategy, national security, China, artificial intelligence, cyber and technology, critical minerals, counter-terrorism, policing, polar security and women in defence and security. Its Critical Technology Tracker assesses research performance across 64 technologies, including AI, biotechnology, robotics, quantum technology, energy and advanced materials. The institute shares its work through research reports, parliamentary submissions, opinion articles, podcasts and digital projects, including the publication The Strategist and the Stop the World podcast. ASPI also convenes events such as the Sydney Dialogue, which brings together thinkers, innovators and policymakers to discuss technology and security. In addition, it offers professional development, capability uplift services and facilities for hire.
