## Description

ASPO Italia, the Italian section of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil (ASPO International), is dedicated to researching the implications of Peak Oil and its effects on ecological, economic, and social systems. Established primarily by scholars and experts in energy, resources, economics, and the environment, ASPO Italia aims to raise awareness about the depletion of non-renewable resources, pollution, climate change, and the broader limits of economic growth. The organization actively engages in public discourse and education regarding the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.

ASPO Italia hosts events to encourage participation and collaboration among members and the public, including a significant conference to celebrate its twentieth anniversary in Pisa. The association’s initiatives include developing analytical tools for energy scenarios and formulating strategies for transitioning to a sustainable energy system. ASPO Italia emphasizes the need for urgent action to mitigate the mounting energy crisis and promote greater equity in energy distribution, recognizing it as foundational to addressing social injustices.
