## Description

Association Chérioux-Dumonteil is a French nonprofit organization focused on supporting people with intellectual disabilities to develop their skills, grow in autonomy, and participate fully in society. Founded in 1965, it places respect, dignity, kindness, and professional care at the heart of its work, while promoting individual choice and self-determination. The association manages more than 20 medico-social establishments and services, with a multidisciplinary team of around 260 professionals.

Its support covers children, adolescents, and adults through services including a medico-educational institute, day and residential facilities, medicalized accommodation, supported living, and assistance at home. At its three ESAT sheltered workshops, participants develop workplace skills and contribute to useful, valued activities. The association also provides vocational training and employment support. Its individualized approach aims to build confidence and create meaningful pathways toward inclusion. The organization works with families and long-term partners, recruits care and education professionals, and welcomes support through donations, volunteering, sponsorship, and apprenticeship-tax contributions. ESAT workers also create artisan products featured by the association’s solidarity shop.
