## Description

Associazione ANNALAURA is a volunteer nonprofit based in Terracina, Italy, dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer and protecting their dignity. Founded in memory of Anna and Laura, the association turns personal loss into practical care for patients and their families. Since 2004, it has worked with the local community to identify needs and improve support at Alfredo Fiorini Hospital and in the surrounding area.

ANNALAURA raises and donates funds for medical equipment, healthcare resources, and services that can enhance patients’ quality of life. Its initiatives have included support for hospital departments such as nephrology and dialysis, and funding for diagnostic technology. The association also offers listening and guidance, helps patients and families navigate paperwork and practical challenges, and provides support through the treatment journey, including psychosocial difficulties.

Its work is powered by volunteers and collaboration with healthcare professionals, community groups, and local supporters. People can contribute through donations, Italy’s five-per-thousand tax designation, support for specific causes, or company partnerships and charitable events.
