## Description

LA-FRA ETS is a community association based in Lainate, Italy, founded in the early 1970s by parents of children with disabilities who wanted families to face challenges together. Guided by the idea that everyone should feel welcomed, protected and at home, the organisation works to support people with disabilities and their families and to foster inclusion within the wider community.

Its services include an accredited Day Centre for adults over 18 with severe disabilities. The association also runs Il Guscio, a temporary residence begun in 2002, where some people attending the day centre can stay after its daily activities. La Nostra Casa is a welcoming community space for meeting, listening and support, with a garden, activities, events, workshops, a vegetable garden and farmyard animals.

LA-FRA’s other initiatives include the Ad Ognuno il Suo Libro project, the Bottega dell’Arte and Universal Civil Service opportunities. Through its services and shared activities, the association seeks to help people build relationships, share experiences and feel part of their community.
