## Description

AMP Pistoia, or Associazione Malati Parkinson – Pistoia, is a volunteer association supporting people with Parkinson’s disease and their families in the Pistoia area. Its work focuses on helping members approach the challenges of the condition and improve their quality of life, while encouraging confidence in their own abilities. The association offers activities designed for patients and family members, including fine motor exercises involving small movements of the hands, feet, face and mouth. It also provides physiotherapy and movement activities, including the Feldenkrais method, in collaboration with a scientific and technical committee made up of doctors from the local USL hospital organisation. Logopedia services aim to prevent and address difficulties with voice, language and communication. AMP Pistoia also shares information about Parkinson’s symptoms and therapy, along with news and updates about its activities. People can support its initiatives by becoming members, making a donation or contributing through Italy’s 5x1000 tax allocation. The association is based in Pistoia, with its gym at MAIC on Via Monte Leonese.
