## Description

Astar is an AI company focused on building practical artificial intelligence. Its stated mission responds to what it sees as limited investment in AI research and deployment in Norway, where research and development spending is described as 1.8% of GDP. Astar says it is working to change that landscape by developing AI that works, emphasizing application and real-world usefulness.

The company highlights NG.AI and presents a “Field test” initiative, suggesting an active effort to put its work into practice. It invites people to bring it difficult problems, signaling an interest in challenging tasks rather than narrowly defined, off-the-shelf solutions. Astar provides a direct contact address for inquiries and also maintains a presence on LinkedIn and X. The available information does not specify particular industries, technical features, or a broader catalog of products and services. Its public profile is therefore centered on AI development, practical deployment, and engagement with people seeking help on complex challenges.
