## Description

Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ (ARFNZ) is the leading authority on respiratory health in New Zealand, advocating for the one million New Zealanders affected by respiratory conditions. Founded in 1965, the organization provides essential resources, support, and education to improve health outcomes for individuals with asthma, COPD, and other respiratory diseases. ARFNZ plays a pivotal role in developing clinical best practices, fostering self-management strategies, and enhancing health literacy among patients and healthcare professionals. The Foundation's ongoing efforts include organizing national campaigns, educational initiatives, and research to combat respiratory diseases and their associated challenges. Key programs like Asthma in Schools and the annual Respiratory Achievers' Awards highlight their commitment to raising awareness and promoting respiratory health. As a non-profit entity funded by generous donations and grants, ARFNZ remains dedicated to its mission of advancing knowledge and reducing hospitalizations related to respiratory illnesses, ensuring a brighter future for all affected Kiwis.
