## Description

Astraius is a pioneering provider of horizontal air launch services tailored for small to mid-sized satellites. Founded in 2020, the brand is committed to delivering responsive, reliable, and affordable launch solutions from its operational base at the Prestwick Spaceport, near Glasgow, Scotland. Astraius utilizes the advanced C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft, which is capable of launching payloads up to 800 kg to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and 470 kg to Sun-Synchronous Orbit (SSO). This innovative approach allows for launches to occur from optimal locations, reducing weather delays and infrastructure limitations typical of traditional spaceports.

With a leadership team composed of veterans from the military and aerospace sectors, including CEO Kevin Seymour and CTO Shane Clark, Astraius combines robust industry experience with cutting-edge technology. The company plans to undertake its first launch in 2024, aiming to reshape the dynamics of satellite delivery by providing a seamless, agile launch experience that meets the evolving demands of the global space market.
