## Description

The Russian Astronomical Network (Astronet) is an online resource for astronomy enthusiasts, students, and readers interested in space science. Its broad collection brings together news, articles, books, reference materials, and tools for exploring the sky. Visitors can read observing calendars and weekly guides to upcoming celestial events, including meteor showers, lunar passages, and eclipses, as well as view daily astronomical and scientific images.

The site also offers a sky map, constellation guides, information about variable stars and supernovae, and reviews of astronomy preprints. Its reference sections include a glossary, dictionary, biographies, and keyword-based resources covering astrophysics, the Solar System, space exploration, astronomy history, and related subjects. Readers can find publications and recommended books, follow astronomy seminars and conferences, and take part in forums.

Astronet highlights astronomy education in Russia, including information about the Evening Astronomical School associated with the Sternberg Astronomical Institute at Moscow State University and a correspondence astronomy school. The network serves as an accessible hub for learning, observing, and keeping up with astronomical research and events.
