## Description

The Astronomical Society of Victoria Inc. (ASV) is a long-standing non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of astronomy. Established in 1922, the ASV now boasts over one thousand members, bringing together individuals of diverse ages, backgrounds, and interests in the field of astronomy. The society holds weekly activities at its metropolitan locations, including the historic Melbourne Observatory, and organizes monthly AstroTalks to delve into various astronomical topics.

Members can immerse themselves in a wide range of activities through various sections, including Astrophotography, Comet & Meteor studies, and Lunar & Planetary exploration. The ASV also oversees significant projects like the restoration of the Great Melbourne Telescope and the implementation of remote telescopes at its Leon Mow Dark Sky Site, which offers pristine conditions for deep-sky observing. With facilities for all abilities, the ASV actively engages the community through outreach events, making astronomy accessible to everyone. Join the ASV to explore the universe and connect with fellow astronomy enthusiasts.
