## Description

Asymmetric Research is a specialized security firm focused on building long-term partnerships with Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains and decentralized finance protocols. Its mission is to help Web3 teams innovate safely by strengthening systems, improving security practices, and responding proactively to emerging threats. The company works closely with client teams, often as an embedded engineering partner, to identify and reduce recurring vulnerabilities over time. It also supports organizations in creating and running comprehensive security programs, from setting strategic direction to delivering ongoing work.

Asymmetric Research offers security research, including coordinated vulnerability disclosure; incident response for communities facing security crises; and medium- to long-term security engineering to design, build, and maintain Web3 security programs. The firm also provides blockchain validation and infrastructure services. Its incident-response work has helped enable the recovery of more than $300 million in digital assets. Across its engagements, Asymmetric Research emphasizes technical rigor, proactive collaboration, integrity, and professional trust, supporting protocols through security planning, investigations, engineering, and broader operational needs.
