# Athens Environmental - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `athensenvironmental.org` ## Description The Athens Environmental Foundation (AEF) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization focused on advancing environmental awareness, education, responsibility, and sustainability. Its projects connect community action with practical environmental improvement, including soil remediation, beach cleanup, tree planting, and urban cleanup. AEF has supported lead remediation in West Oakland, California, where fishbone meal was used to help clean contaminated soil, and offers community do-it-yourself environmental programs. Education is another central part of the foundation’s work. Its Ambassadors of the Environment program was developed by Jean-Michel Cousteau, Dr. Richard Murphy, and the Ocean Futures Society. AEF also produces public service announcements featuring recognized personalities to support environmental awareness campaigns. The foundation’s Global Olive Wreath Project brought schools, communities, and partners in multiple countries together to plant olive trees as a living tribute to peace and environmental responsibility, inspired by Olympic ideals. AEF’s activities also include environmental initiatives associated with the 2004 Athens Olympics. With offices in Emeryville, California, and Athens, Greece, the organization works to encourage informed participation and lasting stewardship of the environment. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [youtube](https://youtube.com/user/aefenvironmental) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id0G7t2wWI/w/155/h/215/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793211933956) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Battleship Gray | #839b78 | accent | | Black | #000000 | dark | | Regent St Blue | #a2d0e8 | light | ## Fonts - Segoe UI — asset _(custom)_ - Segoe UI — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
