## Description

Athlete Ally is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusion in sports. Founded by Hudson Taylor, a former collegiate wrestler, Athlete Ally aims to dismantle the barriers that exclude LGBTQIA+ individuals from competitive athletics. The organization works tirelessly to ensure that every athlete—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression—has equal access and opportunities in sports.

Athlete Ally's impactful initiatives include the Athletic Equality Index, which ranks the inclusiveness of collegiate athletic departments, and the Principle 6 campaign, advocating for the inclusion of sexual orientation in the Olympic Charter. The organization provides resources and education through its Champions of Inclusion curriculum, empowering teams, coaches, and athletes to foster welcoming environments. With a focus on advocacy, Athlete Ally collaborates with major sports leagues and organizations to champion policy changes and raise awareness of discrimination faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals in athletics. Through its efforts, Athlete Ally remains at the forefront of promoting equality and inclusion in the sports arena.
