The Atlanta Area Council is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America, serving 13 northern Georgia counties including Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Haralson, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, and Rockdale. With over 100 years of experience, the Atlanta Area Council is dedicated to building future leaders through a combination of educational activities, lifelong values, and outdoor adventures. The council consists of 13 districts, each composed of local Scouting units such as Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, and Exploring Posts, which are chartered to schools, religious organizations, or community centers.
