## Description

The Atlas of Mutual Heritage (AMH) is an invaluable and expanding database dedicated to documenting the historical influence and legacy of the VOC (Dutch East India Company) and WIC (Dutch West India Company). This digital resource compiles extensive information, including maps, drawings, prints, and paintings, related to locations integral to the operations of these historic Dutch trading companies. The AMH is the result of a fruitful long-term collaboration among prominent institutions such as the Dutch National Archive, the Dutch Heritage Agency, the Rijksmuseum, and the National Library of the Netherlands. Additionally, numerous other cultural organizations have enriched the AMH database by contributing their collections, ensuring a comprehensive repository of heritage. The platform serves as a vital tool for researchers, educators, and history enthusiasts, providing easy access to unique visual and historical materials that shed light on the interconnected world shaped by colonial trade. Explore the Atlas of Mutual Heritage to uncover the profound impact of Dutch maritime history.
