## Description

Attic Backpackers is a locally owned hostel in central Auckland, offering travellers a welcoming, relaxed place to stay. Set on the top floor of a heritage building near Queen Street and the Sky Tower, it provides easy walking access to the city’s food, transport and nightlife. The hostel has welcomed guests since 2013 and caters to solo travellers, friends and groups.

Accommodation includes shared dormitories with comfortable bunks, mixed and female-only options, and private rooms for guests seeking more space. Attic also offers shared spaces designed for relaxing and meeting other travellers, including a kitchen, lounge and roof deck. Guests can expect clean, comfortable rooms, bathrooms and facilities, along with a friendly team that shares local recommendations and practical information.

Describing itself as fun rather than fancy, Attic focuses on a sociable, home-away-from-home experience. It has received Hostelworld Hoscars recognition, including first place among Auckland’s most popular hostels in 2026. Guests can book rooms directly through its website, with a listed discount available for direct bookings using the code attic10.
