## Description

The Association for the Understanding of Ancient Cultures (AUAC), founded in January 2000 in Basel, Switzerland, is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering archaeological research particularly in the Mediterranean region. AUAC aims to support small yet impactful projects that approach specific archaeological questions scientifically. The organization's website serves as a free academic resource, offering updates to scholars interested in ancient cultures and history, while promoting collaboration among experts globally.

AUAC is actively involved in several international projects, including the International North-Eastern Petra Project and the International Umm al-Biyara Project, among others. Additionally, it hosts the Bulletin of Nabataean Studies, an online periodical that publishes scholarly articles on Nabataean history, archaeology, and art history, fostering further exploration in these fields. For those interested in contributing to the advancement of ancient culture studies, AUAC invites donations and collaboration to help propel international research initiatives forward.
