Aufklärung Organspende is a student-led initiative of medical students and students in related fields, focused on providing neutral, independent information about organ donation. Its aim is to help people consider the subject in an informed way and record their personal decision, for example on an organ donor card. The initiative has local groups in more than 26 cities, with some groups involving up to 100 members. The site also directs people who need an organ donor card to the German Federal Centre for Health Education, where cards in bank-card format can be ordered free of charge.
