# Augusta Bird Club - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `augustabirdclub.org` ## Description Augusta Bird Club is a membership organization founded in 1966, serving Augusta County, Staunton, Waynesboro, Virginia, and nearby communities. With more than 200 members, it connects people with birds through education, outdoor activities, conservation, and community science. The club holds monthly meetings from September through May in Staunton, featuring programs by invited speakers, and organizes bird walks and field trips throughout the year. These outings range from local visits lasting several hours to trips farther afield, and are open to anyone interested in participating. The club supports hands-on habitat and conservation projects, including an American Barn Owl nest box program. Members also contribute to citizen-science efforts such as the Rockfish Gap Hawk Watch, Christmas Bird Counts, and winter raptor surveys. Website resources include local birding hotspots, bird checklists, native plants for birds, birding ethics, and sightings information. The club also offers birding backpacks and hosts events such as a bird seed sale. It awards scholarships to Nature Camp, a nonprofit residential camp focused on natural history and environmental science. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Camping Scouting and Outdoors _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🐶 Pets and Animals - 🐶 Birds _(under Pets and Animals)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idckVk1waQ/w/180/h/300/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793081013120) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Gold | #fdd105 | accent | | Green Pea | #21642e | dark | | Blue | #1f2eff | light | ## Fonts - Roboto — asset _(google)_ - Roboto — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
