## Description

Augustinus Fonden is a Danish philanthropic business foundation with a history dating back to 1942. Through long-term grantmaking, it supports initiatives that contribute to society now and in the future, with a broad focus on culture, research, and social and humanitarian needs.

In arts and culture, the foundation helps preserve and share cultural heritage, including museum collections and significant buildings, while supporting creative and performing arts across Denmark, such as music, dance, and visual art. Its knowledge and research funding backs projects that generate new understanding, including research into cultural heritage, and helps talented students from arts education institutions gain international experience. The foundation also supports research and activities that build knowledge about culture’s role and value.

Its social and humanitarian grants aim to improve quality of life for vulnerable adults in Denmark through support tailored to individual needs. It also contributes to relief efforts when crises and disasters affect communities abroad.
