About

Description

Aunt Rita's Foundation is a brand dedicated to the elimination of HIV and AIDS and the reduction of suffering caused by these diseases. With a mission to end HIV in Arizona, Aunt Rita's has been actively involved in the cause since its humble beginnings in 1988. They have provided millions of dollars to support HIV programs and function as the Connector of the HIV Community through testing and collaborative initiatives.

Aunt Rita's Foundation works closely with partner agencies such as Ebony House, CAN Community Health, Southwest Behavioral Health Services, and many more. They offer grant funding, distribute free Home HIV oral swap test kits, and provide vouchers for confidential clinical testings. Their signature fundraising events, AIDS Walk Arizona and RED is the Night, bring the community together to commemorate World AIDS Day.

The foundation also plays a crucial role in increasing awareness and education about HIV/AIDS through HIVAZ. ORG and collaborates with the Arizona Department of Health Services. They advocate for the establishment of laws, regulations, and policies to educate, prevent, and treat HIV.

Aunt Rita's Foundation is driven by its core values of accountability, integrity, inclusiveness, diversity, collaboration, and passion. Led by Executive Director Stacey Jay Cavaliere and Operations Manager Citlaly Gomez Ibarra, the foundation is committed to fostering HIV/AIDS awareness, education, and support. They have a dedicated team working tirelessly to end HIV in Arizona.

If you're interested in joining their cause, Aunt Rita's Foundation offers full-time positions and internships. They value inclusivity and seek individuals with experience working with communities of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, aging adults living with HIV, and other underserved populations. They also welcome volunteers to actively participate in their efforts.
