## Description

Aurora Sexual Assault Centre is an Alberta charitable organization supporting children, youth, adults, and families affected by sexual violence and child abuse. Based in Lethbridge, Aurora is committed to providing honest, respectful and factual services, and to transparent use of public funds. Its work includes the Aurora Centre and the Aurora Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, which help people move toward safety and healing after harm.

Aurora also offers education and awareness resources, including discussion topics and a quiz to help visitors learn about recognizing and understanding sexual assault. The organization shares news and information about child abuse prevention, community support, and services for survivors, and invites people to take part through volunteering, career opportunities, events, and donations. Supporters can make gifts or donate a vehicle through a partner program.

Registered as a society in Alberta, Aurora has held charitable status through the Canada Revenue Agency since 2019. It publishes annual impact reports and audited financial statements as part of its commitment to accountability.
