## Description

Ausome Adventures is a dedicated organization focused on advocating for and empowering neurodivergent individuals and their families. With over 20 years of experience, founder Monica Unger has cultivated a vision of inclusion, celebrating the unique gifts of each person on the autism spectrum. The organization emphasizes a holistic approach to support, respecting bodily autonomy and promoting self-advocacy through customized programs.

Ausome Adventures aligns its practices with the Therapist Neurodiversity Collective, rejecting conventional methods that aim to make neurodivergent individuals conform to neurotypical standards. Instead, they offer therapeutic guidance that nurtures self-regulation, perspective-taking, safety, and problem-solving skills. This trauma-informed, pro-neurodiversity approach fosters an environment where autistic acceptance is taught and valued.

Through various programs, including summer camps, Ausome Adventures invites families to engage in enriching experiences, ensuring every participant feels respected, supported, and celebrated. Their commitment to advocacy and acceptance enhances the quality of life for neurodivergent individuals in the Fraser Valley and beyond.
