## Description

Australia Awards Scholarships is a prestigious program offered by the Australian Government to develop the next generation of global leaders. These scholarships provide more than just a degree; they offer an internationally recognized qualification and a life-changing experience in Australia. The program aims to promote prosperity, reduce poverty, and enhance political stability in Papua New Guinea. Applicants for the Australia Awards Scholarships are assessed based on their professional and personal qualities, academic competence, and their potential to make a positive impact on development challenges in Papua New Guinea. Priority is given to applications from women, people with disabilities, and candidates from the provinces. Scholarship recipients receive a range of benefits, including return air travel, an establishment allowance upon arrival, full tuition fees, and a contribution to living expenses. They also receive support for academic programs, health cover, and a fieldwork allowance for research students. Australia Awards Scholarships provide an opportunity for recipients to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to drive change and build lasting connections with Australia.
