## Description

The Australian Pigeon Council Ltd (APCL) is an Australian registered charity dedicated to connecting people through pigeons, education and living heritage. Its mission is to create welcoming community spaces where older people, people with disabilities and young Australians can find purpose, inclusion and meaningful ways to participate. APCL is developing a national network of Community Loft and Museum hubs, with a flagship site planned in Kalbar, Queensland. The 15-acre site, accessed under agreement, is being developed as a therapeutic, animal-assisted community space, pigeon museum, education and visitor centre, and venue for community events.

APCL’s activities include pigeon education, heritage preservation, public engagement and events that bring generations together while showcasing pigeon history, science and welfare. The organisation also shares information about pigeon homing, one-loft events and pigeon care, and connects people with local pigeon clubs. Through partnerships, volunteers and community participation, APCL aims to support social connection and sustain charitable programs. Its broader vision is to build lasting places of belonging that serve communities across Australia.
