## Description

AGL, once Australia’s largest climate polluter, is undergoing a remarkable transformation into a significant climate solution provider. This transition is part of one of the most dramatic shifts in Australian corporate history. Previously reliant on coal for 85% of its electricity, AGL's operations provoked widespread criticism and activism, particularly from Greenpeace, which highlighted the company's detrimental environmental impact and called for urgent reform.

Today, AGL is committed to decarbonizing its energy portfolio, having adjusted its coal closure deadlines to 2035—13 years earlier than initially planned. As part of this transition, AGL is investing over $12 billion in renewable energy solutions. The company's new leadership is focused on accelerating the shift away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy innovation, making strides in solar and wind projects.

Through campaigns supported by the public and strategic leadership changes, AGL aims to facilitate a cleaner, greener energy future while addressing climate change's most pressing challenges. Join them on their journey to reshape Australia's energy landscape.
