## Description

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) provides training, certification, and accreditation programs for professionals and organizations supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals and people with other disabilities. Its offerings serve a broad range of settings, including healthcare, education, travel and entertainment, public safety, and workplaces.

For individual professionals, IBCCES offers the Autism Certificate (AC), an online program designed for people who work with or have contact with autistic individuals. The certification includes 14 hours of continuing education, an application review, and an online competency exam. Training covers topics such as autism, behavior modification, early childhood identification, co-occurring conditions, program development, and communication with parents. IBCCES also offers the Certified Autism Specialist credential, which has separate education and experience requirements.

Organizations can explore programs and accreditations tailored to schools, clinics, destinations, cities, and other service environments. Additional resources include a public registry of credential holders, accessibility tools, certification guidance, and informational materials.
