## Description

Autism in Museums is an information and advocacy organisation promoting accessible cultural experiences for everyone. Its website helps autistic, disabled and neurodiverse visitors find events designed to offer a more welcoming and comfortable way to enjoy museums, cinemas, galleries and other cultural venues. Visitors can browse an events calendar, explore event details and find information about relaxed screenings, exhibition viewings, performances and special openings.

The events featured include low-sensory adjustments such as reduced lighting and volume, quieter visiting times, freedom to move around or leave and return, and access to sanctuary spaces. Some venues also provide sensory-support equipment, comfortable seating and additional staff assistance. Listings cover cultural organisations in London, including the British Film Institute, Natural History Museum, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Wellcome Collection. The site also provides links, a blog, contact information and a newsletter, helping visitors stay informed and connected. Through event information and advocacy, Autism in Museums supports broader access to culture and encourages venues to consider the needs of autistic and neurodiverse audiences.
