Welcome to auto-schweiz, the association of official automobile importers in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Our members are responsible for importing and distributing numerous vehicle brands, ranging from cars and vans to heavy commercial vehicles, buses, and campers. Together, they have a network of around 4,000 brand dealerships in both countries. On our website, you can find the latest developments in the automotive industry. We provide statistics on new car registrations by brand and model, as well as information on alternative drives, such as electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In 2022, the market share of battery-electric cars reached a record high of 17.8%, with 40,173 new electric cars registered. We also have information on rechargeable models and commercial vehicles, along with data on the overall motor vehicle stock in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
