African Youth Commission

The African Youth Commission (AYC) is an independent Pan-African youth network founded by youth leaders. Their mission is to unite youth in action for African unity and development. The AYC aims to foster synergy amongst youth and youth organizations on the African continent and diaspora.

They provide a space and voice for youth to set and drive their own agenda, promoting their involvement as key partners in implementing the Africa 2063 Agenda and the UN Agenda 2030 for sustainable development. Additionally, the AYC supports advocacy actions on the ratification and implementation of the African Youth Charter and other youth rights-based legal instruments. Their core values include integrity, transparency, Pan-Africanism, and inclusivity.

The AYC serves 46 countries, 236 organizations, and has benefited over 200 million individuals. The AYC's organizational structure consists of the General Assembly, Executive Council, Advisory Board, and Secretariat, which work together to achieve their goals.
